Oak Grove is 10-0 against Petal since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oak Grove Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Petal Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Oak Grove is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Pearl, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Oak Grove was ranked third). Oak Grove never let Pearl onto the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Petal). They blew past Meridian 8-0 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Oak Grove's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Petal, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Oak Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Petal when the teams last played back in January, winning 3-1. Does Oak Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Petal turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
