If Westview was feeling good fresh off their 13-2 takedown of Peabody on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell 6-3 to the Jackson Christian Eagles on Thursday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Westview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kohen McWherter, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Jackson Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Westview will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bradford at 6:30 p.m. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Jackson Christian, they will take on Scotts Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
