Basketball Recap: Luke Sabbarese's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northwest Classical Academy over Mill Springs Academy

It was a good run, but Northwest Classical Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mill Springs Academy.

Northwest Classical Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Luke Sabbarese, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Sabbarese is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Battista, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards.

Northwest Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mill Springs Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Northwest Classical Academy and Mill Springs Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Spartans see the court they'll take on Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Mill Springs Academy, their break will end when they face Cumberland Academy of Georgia at 4:00 p.m. on December 8.
