Basketball Recap: Albemarle Takes a Loss

Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 51-41 to the Chancellor Chargers.

It was another big night for Natalie Lanning, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards for Chancellor. That's the most points Lanning has posted since back in January. Lydia Brockelbank was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Albemarle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Chancellor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Albemarle will look to defend their home court on Friday against Godwin at 4:30 p.m. As for Chancellor, they will head out to take on Eastern View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Chancellor is facing Eastern View at the right time seeing as Eastern View is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
