Recap: Northwest Mustangs vs. Tipton Cardinals
It was a good run, but the Northwest Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 53-44 to Tipton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwest in their matchups with Tipton: they've now lost eight in a row.
Tipton had a senior duo take command as Jackson Bailey dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds and Zach Moon scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Bailey hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games.
Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Tipton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Northwest will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lincoln on February 1st. As for Tipton, they will square off against Cole Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cole Camp has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 385 points over their last six games.
