Soccer Recap: Rifle Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Rifle and Palisade meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Bears fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs. Rifle were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Palisade apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Rifle's goal came courtesy of Malquane Mckoy, who's now up to seven this season.

Rifle's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Palisade, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Rifle wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-3 victory against Summit on the 6th. As for Palisade, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Durango on the 5th.
