It was a good run, but Coldspring-Oakhurst unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 7-3 to the China Spring Cougars.

Jasper Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Haylee Rosales, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Coldspring-Oakhurst's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for China Spring, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Coldspring-Oakhurst and China Spring's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Coldspring-Oakhurst and Central Heights (who has only given up 3.5 runs per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
