Basketball Game Preview: Chilton Pirates vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

The Chilton Pirates and the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Chilton is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Chilton's tournament run continued when they took on Slidell on Friday. Chilton was outmatched by Slidell and fell 39-12. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Anderson-Shiro had to suffer through a 51-24 loss at the hands of China Spring. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 982nd, while the Cougars are ranked 427th).

Anderson-Shiro has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Chilton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
