Volleyball Recap: Malibu Comes Up Short

If Malibu was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fillmore last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Malibu Sharks came up short against the Royal Highlanders on Friday, falling 3-0. The Sharks have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.

Malibu's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Royal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malibu will challenge Santa Monica at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Royal, they will head out on the road to challenge Oak Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
