Basketball Recap: South Glens Falls Bulldogs vs. Niskayuna Silver Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Glens Falls can now relate to. They were beaten by the Niskayuna Silver Warriors 70-31 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th in New York, while the Silver Warriors are ranked 102nd in New York).
Niskayuna was led to victory by Ciarra Gonzalez and Natalie Birmingham. Gonzalez dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, while Birmingham went 6-for-8 to rack up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. What's more, Gonzalez posted four steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Ava Roemer was another key player, going 5-for-7 en route to 10 points.
