Preview: Long County Blue Tide vs. Liberty County Panthers
Long County is 1-9 against Liberty County since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Long County Blue Tide will head out on the road to challenge the Liberty County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Long County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Beach and snuck past 57-54.
Liberty County proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 22) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 victory over Johnson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty County.
Long County's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Liberty County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-13 record this season.
Long County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Liberty County when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 37-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Long County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
