Softball Recap: Bishop Carroll Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Bishop Carroll entered their tilt with Eisenhower on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Tigers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Emerson Hiebert tossed a big game, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bishop Carroll saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allyson Orth, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another was Paige Stroot, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
