Softball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. Canby Cougars

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against Canby. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m.

Centennial came up short against Canby on Friday, falling 8-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

For Canby's part, Presley Ricksger made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. Ricksger has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abi Troutman, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Kristin Vissers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
