Basketball Recap: Saguaro Sabercats vs. St. Mary's Knights
After flying high against the Lake Havasu Knights last Tuesday, the Saguaro Sabercats came back down to earth. Saguaro fell 76-67 to the Knights on Wednesday. Saguaro has struggled against the Knights recently, as their game on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Sabercats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justice Hinds, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Hinds is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was O?shea Bonner, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Saguaro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for St. Mary's, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-6.
Saguaro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Mary's will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcadia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Knights are ranked seventh).
