Baseball Recap: Chase Comes Up Short

Chase was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Chesnee Eagles. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Chase's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Chesnee, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Chase will host East Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Rutherford will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Chase surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chesnee, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Blacksburg on the 28th.
