Soccer Recap: Dimond Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Dimond has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chugiak Mustangs. Dimond were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chugiak apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Quynn Campbell wasn't going to let Chugiak walk away unscathed as she scored both of Dimond's goals, bringing her season total up to 20 goals.

Dimond's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Chugiak, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

Dimond will venture away from home to face off against Bartlett at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chugiak, they will face off against Kenai Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chugiak's defense better be ready for this one: Kenai Central have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season.
