Basketball Recap: Rockford Takes a Loss

Rockford and Watertown-Mayer squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Rockford had to settle for second. The game between the Rockford Rockets and the Watertown-Mayer Royals didn't end well, with the Rockford Rockets falling 63-49. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Royals are ranked 118th).

Rockford has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-24 record this season. Watertown-Mayer's win bumped their record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Rockford nor Watertown-Mayer have any future games scheduled.
