After flying high against San Pasqual last Wednesday, Rancho Bernardo came back down to earth. The Broncos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patrick Henry Patriots on Wednesday. The Broncos' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 21-25, 25-14.

Patrick Henry found their leader in sophomore Natalie Rynard, who had five digs and two aces. Rynard has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Kirchoff, who had 18 digs.

Rancho Bernardo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Rancho Bernardo is taking a road trip to face off against Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patrick Henry, they will host Point Loma at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
