Football Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chaparral faced Mountain Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Wolverines were outmatched by the Golden Eagles and fell 40-6. The match marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Zoey Fink threw for 84 yards and one touchdown. Sydney Matthews was her top target, picking up 36 receiving yards and one TD.

It was another big night for Ariana Akey, who threw for 210 yards and six TDs, and also rushed for 85 yards on only six carries for Mountain Vista. Akey is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chaparral fell to 4-1. As for Mountain Vista, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Chaparral has already played their next contest, a 19-0 victory against Cherry Creek on the 10th. As for Mountain Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 40-13 win against Legend on the 10th.
