Grace Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Wasilla, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Grace Christian was ranked second). Grace Christian snuck past Wasilla with a 71-67 win on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kodiak had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over Mountain City Christian Academy on Saturday.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Kodiak, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Everything came up roses for Grace Christian against Kodiak when the teams last played back in January of 2020, as the squad secured a 66-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
