Basketball Recap: Syracuse's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Syracuse waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Weber Warriors as they made off with a 53-29 win. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Syracuse to victory were Maylee Anderson and Rachel McBride. Anderson went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while McBride posted ten points along with eight boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave McBride a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Grace Thomas, who earned four points and five assists.

Weber's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradey Schiffman, who had ten points and eight boards. Abby Sayer was another key player, putting up eight points.

Syracuse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Weber, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Syracuse will face off against Davis at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Weber, they will square off against Fremont at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Fremont will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Weber surely won't give up without a fight.
