Basketball Game Preview: Blue Springs Wildcats vs. Lee's Summit Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Blue Springs Wildcats face off against the Lee's Summit Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Blue Springs came up short against Staley and fell 74-63. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Lee's Summit had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They managed a 60-54 victory over the Panthers.

Lee's Summit is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Blue Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Blue Springs came up short against Lee's Summit in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 64-52. Can Blue Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
