Softball Game Preview: Graceville Tigers vs. Ponce De Leon Pirates

The Graceville Tigers will challenge the Ponce De Leon Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Graceville and three for Ponce De Leon.

Graceville lost 20-2 to Bay on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ponce De Leon came up short against Walton on Friday, falling 7-1.

Kiyann Alford put in work no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Graceville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Ponce De Leon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
