Basketball Recap: Ricardo Torrijos Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Broward

West Broward hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They secured a 47-43 W over the South Broward Bulldogs on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Broward to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ricardo Torrijos, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Torrijos continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bedirhan Menguc, who had 12 points along with seven boards and five steals.

West Broward's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for South Broward, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

West Broward wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-51 loss against Flanagan on the 10th. As for South Broward, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-43 defeat against Northeast on the 8th.
