Football Recap: Chaminade Comes Up Short

Chaminade lost against De Smet Jesuit back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils had to suffer through a 56-21 loss at the hands of the Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Spartans are ranked 15th).

Chaminade's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for De Smet Jesuit, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Chaminade will square off against St. Louis University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Junior Bills' defense has only allowed 8.6 points per game this season, so the Red Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for De Smet Jesuit, they will face off against Festus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
