Football Recap: Montague Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Montague's offense. They were outmatched by the Ludington Orioles and fell 49-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Orioles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cameron Gunsell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 85 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 358 yards and three touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes for Ludington. Gunsell is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Montague's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ludington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Montague will head out to take on North Muskegon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ludington, they will face off against Manistee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Orioles will be up against the Mariners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
