Basketball Recap: Los Molinos Finds Home Court Redemption Against Burney

There's no place like home for Los Molinos, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Burney Raiders 45-30 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Burney's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cort Covert, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points. James Fields was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five boards and five blocks.

Los Molinos' record is now 5-10. As for Burney, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10.

Los Molinos won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Loyalton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Redding Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Redding Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games.
