Texas running back helped Vela win 63-62 shootout in double overtime.

Robert Guerra of Vela (Edinburg, Texas) and Bailey Zappe of Victoria East (Victoria, Texas) faced each other in one of the highest-scoring games of the weekend, so it's not surprise that the two players find their way on to this week's list of national high school football stat stars.

Guerra made the highlight reels after scoring nine total touchdowns, including seven on the ground. He rushed for 360 yards on 35 carries in Vela's 63-62 win over Victoria East. Meanwhile, Zappe completed 19 of 34 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns.

Texas had the top passing and rushing performance of the week. Aaron Brown of Gilmer completed 37 of 47 passes for 577 yards and six touchdowns in his varsity debut. Trevon Bradley of Cleburne had the top rushing effort, gaining 431 yards on just 18 carries with seven touchdowns.

Dylan Hunley of East Noble (Kendalville, Ind.) had the third-highest single game receiving yardage mark in Indiana history with 362 yards receiving on 16 catches. Gehrig Dieter of Washington (South Bend, Ind.) has the top two marks with 437 and 373 yards.
