Manhattan extended the longest winning streak in Centennial this week by beating Washburn Rural, 21-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Seaman was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Vikings vanquished Highland Park 34-6 earlier in the week.
Shawnee Heights' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunderbirds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Geiger has thrown for 434 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Colton Kennedy has 22 catches for 246 yards. Michael Moten leads the league in rushing with 673 yards.
Two of the top units in Centennial will face off this week when Shawnee Heights takes on Seaman. The Thunderbirds' offense has racked up 165 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Blake Pierce's team has allowed only 109 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Topeka takes on the Blues. The Trojans are currently in first, while Washburn Rural is in sixth.
Topeka led the league in scoring this week after putting up 39 points on Junction City/St. Xavier.
