Basketball Recap: Charles Wright Takes a Loss

Charles Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vashon Island Pirates. The Tarriers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 59-39.

Charles Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Vashon Island, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Charles Wright won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Seattle Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Seattle Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Vashon Island, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Life Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. Life Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Vashon Island likes a good challenge.
