Basketball Recap: Danville Christian Academy Makes It 21 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Danville Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the McCreary Central Raiders 66-40 on Friday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Danville Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leek Ateny led the charge by dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Ateny's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lual Ayiei, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Danville Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Danville Christian Academy's win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points over those games. As for McCreary Central, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
