Volleyball Recap: St. James Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. James Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 2-0 to the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15.

Mya Lee paced St. James Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Lee got some help from Ellen Dorsey and her 18 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Malin Chaput, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since October 7th.

St. James Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 27-12. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season.

St. James Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Maize South on the 1st.
