Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Warriors vs. Madonna Blue Dons

Trinity Christian has gone 9-1 against Madonna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trinity Christian Warriors will welcome the Madonna Blue Dons at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Trinity Christian came up short against Wood County Christian and fell 59-50. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 762nd, while the Wildcat are ranked 98th).

The losing side was boosted by Austin Porta, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 20 points and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Maddox Mousadis was another key player, going 6 for 10 en route to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Madonna posted their biggest victory since February 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Edison with a sharp 63-43 win.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Madonna, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Trinity Christian won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, slipping by Madonna 48-47. Does Trinity Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Madonna turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
