Baseball Recap: Anderson Comes Up Short

Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Henry Crusaders.

Anderson got a good showing from Grant Fyffe, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Hudson Best made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Best is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Eric Fleetwood also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.

Anderson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-8 win against Loveland on the 12th. St. Henry has also already played their next contest (against Bishop Brossart), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
