Basketball Recap: Lagrange Extends Winning Streak to Four

LaGrange entered their tilt with Whitewater on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Whitewater Wildcats by a score of 54-47. For the Grangers, this counts as revenge for the 58-51 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Whitewater's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seyi Daramola, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Daramola is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season. Allan Mangual was another key player, putting up three points along with 19 boards and three steals.

LaGrange is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Whitewater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. LaGrange will head out to face Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Whitewater will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
