Volleyball Recap: West Las Vegas Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cobre, West Las Vegas was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Hot Springs Tigers by a score of 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Dons as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

The win didn't come easy: Hot Springs scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.

Tyra Horner paced West Las Vegas' offense, picking up 20 kills. Horner got some help from Ciana Medina and her 33 assists. Medina was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

West Las Vegas' victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Hot Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-6.

West Las Vegas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Dexter on the 7th. As for Hot Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Cloudcroft on the 7th.
