Soccer Recap: Pinellas Park Finishes Even with Anclote

On Friday, neither the Pinellas Park Patriots nor the Anclote Sharks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Patience Bahamondes hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Pinellas Park's goal came courtesy of Kayla Carvalho, who's now up to five this season.

With that draw, Pinellas Park's record moves to 6-7-2. As for Anclote, they moved theirs to 5-8-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Pinellas Park will face off against Clearwater at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinellas Park is facing Clearwater at the right time seeing as Clearwater is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Anclote, they will challenge Dunedin at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Anclote's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
