West Catholic and Devon Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Burrs will host the Tide at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, West Catholic lost to Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic on the road by a 71-56 margin. While losing is never fun, the Burrs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Friars/Pandas are ranked sixth).

Devon Prep not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14, 2025 (when they won 64-40). Everything went their way against St. Joseph's Prep as they made off with a 67-45 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-11.

West Catholic better keep an eye on Cooper Fairlamb. He was instrumental in Devon Prep's win, going 8-for-10 to rack up 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That's the most points Fairlamb has posted since back in December of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of John Doogan, who shot 71% from the field en route to 14 points.

Devon Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

This is the second loss in a row for West Catholic and nudges their season record down to 9-8. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Devon Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.
