Baseball Recap: San Marin Beats Novato for Their Fourth Straight Win

San Marin won the last time they faced Novato and things went their way on Friday too. San Marin had just enough and edged out Novato 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Jaden Brown looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, San Marin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hugh Brady, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Brady also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

San Marin's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Novato, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Marin will challenge Marin Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Novato, they will square off against American Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
