Basketball Recap: Rustin Comes Up Short

Rustin played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Clinton School 69-23. Rustin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-10.

Kate Stanley was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine assists for Clinton School. Those nine assists gave Stanley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alessandra Stotz, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Rustin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Clinton School, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Rustin has already played their next game (against Bergtraum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clinton School will take on Pace at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Clinton School's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Pace's offense will have their work cut out for them.
