The losing side was boosted by Dezirae Thomas, who had 14 digs and one assist. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Steele, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Elyria on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
Steele was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-18.
Midview better keep an eye on Dani Dury. She was instrumental in Steele's win, getting seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Dury has posted since back in August. Morgan Lymer also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Steele was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Midview's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Steele, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Midview has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8 aces per game. However, it's not like Steele struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
