Mary G. Montgomery and Baker squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mary G. Montgomery had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 8-1. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Mary G. Montgomery now has a losing record of 15-16-1. As for Baker, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-12 record this season.

Mary G. Montgomery didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 win against Davidson on the 25th. As for Baker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Bryant on the 25th.
