Riverview is 7-1 against King since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Riverview Sharks will host the King Lions at 6:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Riverview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-30 to Chamberlain. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 459th, while the Storm are ranked 215th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for King, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Alonso by a score of 43-31 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Riverview better focus on containing Heaven Pyfrom and Mariah Pinkney as the pair were huge in King's win. Pyfrom posted 18 points and four steals, while Pinkney put up 17 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Pyfrom a new career-high in assists (four). Jakayla Nice was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

King's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Riverview, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Everything came up roses for Riverview against King in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 66-21 victory. Will Riverview repeat their success, or does King have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
