Basketball Recap: Barnes Academy Comes Up Short

Barnes Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Friendship Christian Spartans. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Friendship Christian was led to victory by Elyon Graham and Roger Maddox. Graham posted 18 points, while Maddox had 17 points. Damon Frazier Jr. was another key player, putting up eight points.

Friendship Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Barnes Academy will challenge White Creek Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Friendship Christian, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
