Browne is 9-1 against Maryvale since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bruins will face off against the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Browne's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past South Mountain 8-0. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Maryvale waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Buffaloes with a sharp 20-12 victory.

Xasiel Reyes was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Reyes was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Nathan Benavidez was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Maryvale: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Valdez, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Maryvale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Browne's record now sits at 6-4. As for Maryvale, their record is now 6-7.

Browne took their win against Maryvale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
