Volleyball Recap: Yuma Outlaws vs. Forge Christian Fury

After flying high against Akron last Tuesday, Yuma came back down to earth. The Yuma Outlaws took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forge Christian Fury on Friday.

Yuma started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-12, 26-24, 25-21.

Forge Christian can attribute much of their success to Alizah Almanza, who had 11 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Morse, who had eight digs and two aces.

Yuma has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Forge Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yuma will host Caliche at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forge Christian, they will play host again on Monday to welcome The Academy, where the match is scheduled at 6:30 p.m.
