Baseball Recap: Ezekiel Academy Comes Up Short

Ezekiel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fort Dale Academy Eagles, falling 15-2. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Conner Campbell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Zeke Mills also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ezekiel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Fort Dale Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Ezekiel Academy will take on Wiregrass at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ezekiel Academy has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Fort Dale Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Lowndes Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Dale Academy's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Lowndes Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
