Softball Recap: Boone Grove Gets the Win

Boone Grove was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They skirted past the Wheeler Bearcats 6-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Madison Kaufman was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zoey Powell, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Boone Grove's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Wheeler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Boone Grove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-2 loss against Andrean on the 26th. As for Wheeler, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Hebron on the 29th.
