Football Recap: Mortimer Jordan Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kason Reno and Tanner Rice + How To Watch

Mortimer Jordan extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They came up short against the Fort Payne Wildcats, falling 34-14. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Mortimer Jordan's loss came despite strong showings from Tanner Rice and Kason Reno. Rice rushed for 75 yards and one TD, while Reno picked up 84 receiving yards and one score.

As for Fort Payne, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.7 points over those games.

Kaiden Adams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 126 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 126 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Mortimer Jordan has already played their next game, a 35-14 victory against Minor on the 3rd. As for Fort Payne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 45-22 win against Buckhorn on the 3rd.
