Volleyball Game Preview: Winfield Vikings vs. Conway Springs Cardinals

The Winfield Vikings will face off against the Conway Springs Cardinals on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Winfield came up short against Buhler and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost four in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Buhler scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Conway Springs had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 1, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Conway Springs easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15.

Conway Springs' win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Winfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.
